Due to the current weather conditions and the incoming storm, we are going to reschedule the African American Parent Advisory Committee (AAPAC) meeting on February 23rd to March 16th at 4:30 pm here at the District Office and via live stream. We have an amazing group of presenters scheduled to attend and provide information and resources around helping students become college and career-ready graduates. We can't wait to see you on March 16th!

Inclement Weather Reminder: With the incoming storms, we wanted to remind our families of what will take place in the event of a school closure: HUSD’s Maintenance & Operations team will assess the road conditions between 2:30am and 4:45am. If road conditions are unsafe, a robocall message will be sent to all families and the closure will be posted on both the Krystal and HUSD websites, Facebook, and Twitter pages. HUSD will also notify local radio stations. This should all take place by 5:30am.

Book Fair is Here!! February 21st-24th Students may shop with their class or during their lunch recess. We welcome parents to check out the book fair, after school, on Wednesday and Thursday (2/22 - 2:15-3:15 & 2/23 - 3:15-4:15). Your child can shop cash free using an eWallet! PJammin’ Day - This Friday! Join in the fun and support a good cause! Wear your pajamas to school on Friday, February 24th in exchange for a $1 donation! All donations go to the American Childhood Cancer Organization to provide resources and support to kids with cancer and their families. Why wear pajamas? Pajamas are often the battle uniform for kids with cancer. Stuck in the hospital for long periods of time during treatment, kids live in their pjs. PJammin is a way to raise awareness about childhood cancer and to help them feel less alone.

K-Kids is asking for your help in collecting items for the Hesperia Animal Shelter. They would like to support the shelter by providing items for the animals that are being cared for there. Any donations you can make will help! Please send in items to the school office by January 30th. *New or gently used blankets and towels! **Krystal Lost and Found** Lost and found is available for parents to access in the front entrance of the school. Items will be on display through December 22nd. Krystal Spirit Day! Let's have some fun on the last day before Christmas break! Wear your ugly sweaters (or red & green) on Thursday, December 22nd. Students participating in this spirit day may wear jeans and please remember to follow the district's dress code.

PTC's Santa Shop is back! Our shop will be open for students Dec.12th-Dec.16th during the school day. Students will have a designated time to shop with their class and may also shop during their lunch. Look for the Santa's Shop flier and envelopes to come home so that your child can plan for shopping. Items range in price from 50 cents - $20. This is a fun opportunity for Krystal Students to purchase small gifts for family members.

The Student Council will be selling candy cane grams next week, December 5th-9th. Students will be able to purchase candy cane grams to send to their friends during recesses. Parents are able to purchase grams to be delivered to their child on Monday and Tuesday mornings only, from 8:40-9:10 in the front lobby. Thank you for your support!

Dear Krystal Families, We are excited to announce the new principal of Krystal, Dina Piazza-Ramsey. She comes to us with administrative experience and she will be a great addition to our Krystal community. Her start date will be Monday after break, November 28th. She will be reaching out soon to introduce herself. We hope you have a great Thanksgiving Break!
