Attention HHS Senior Families: The priority deadline to submit your Financial Aid application is March 2nd. Students who complete a Financial Aid application after the March 2nd deadline may not be eligible for certain free grants for college. Starting with the Class of 2023: California Education Code (CEC) § 51225.7 requires HUSD to confirm each 12th grade pupil’s completion and submission of a FAFSA or CADAA . HHS College and Career Resource Center (A-6) is available for seniors and their families to assist in completing financial aid applications. Hesperia high school wants to invite the high desert community to their second annual Winter Fest. This is a free event with many free activities and games for kids. Pictures with Santa and this year a reading corner with Mrs Clause. There will be many booths with items and food for sale. *CASH Only*. HUSD and the HDAOR (High Desert Association of Realtors) are committed to stopping youth substance abuse. The HDAOR "How to recognize-prevent substance abuse" meetings are aimed at helping parents help children deal with peer pressure, detect substance abuse problems, and/or determine appropriate intervention steps. The HDAOR will host a series of free workshops dedicated to helping those who have not become involved in drug or alcohol use to avoid doing so and encourage those who are struggling with addiction to get the help that they need. Good evening HHS Scorpion senior families The Hesperia High School Counseling Department will be hosting the 2022 Financial Aid Night workshop for our Seniors and their families on October 4 at 6pm at Hesperia High School. There will be a Spanish and English Presentation option. Please refer to your student email for more information regarding the event.
