For today's #SchoolSiteHighlight we go to Mission Crest. Mission Crest pep rallies bring the school community together and foster a sense of belonging. Student Council students help generate excitement and enthusiasm by engaging the students by throwing out stress balls, tossing sports themed beach balls and playing a game at each event. The character trait of the month is introduced and raffle winners are drawn for students who earned a special character treat coupon from the previous month.

For today's #schoolsitehighlight we are going to Mesa Grande and highlighting their PTSC. These hard-working parent volunteers have been getting Mesa Grande's "Santa Shop" ready for the kiddos, as well as preparing Thanksgiving boxes for families that could use some extra help this time of year. This group of parents do so much for their school. During this time of year and all year long our community is so full of these stories and we truly appreciate the parents and volunteers of our community and are mindful of how thankful we are for you all during this Thanksgiving season. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

In observance of Thanksgiving, all HUSD schools and offices will be closed the week of November 25th-29th. Schools and offices will re-open on Monday, December 2nd.

Eucalyptus Elementary had a Real Talk parent meeting hosted by Desert Mountain Children's Center. Their guest speaker was Craig Cleveland who is a Prevention and Intervention Specialist at our local SELPA. He provided information on bullying and support for parents at home. School Police Officer Lacey also attended the meeting to answer any questions that community members had. The meeting was very informational and aligns with Eucalyptus' KOALA STRIVE program that helps build positive relationships between students on campus. Together staff, students, and parents are all finding ways to make Eucalyptus the best place for our students and community.

The 4th annual Believe student conference helped so many students that it had to be split into 2 sessions in 2024. Today was the Middle School session where eligible students from Hesperia and Victor districts learned about awesome resources and heard inspirational speaker messages and even got to see some magic tricks. A special thanks to our district's social worker Cynthia Thoele for planning and putting on the event!
