HUSD is excited to partner with Think Together to offer fun activities, enrichment and care during the upcoming fall break, October 7-11th. Raegan and Gracie were the model of student leadership today! A peer passed out newsletters that he had created for Carmel and they took it upon themselves to share them with others around campus, including Ms. Cat in the office. They even advocated for Mrs. Adams to share his Cougar news with the rest of our campus!
We celebrated their initiative, leadership, and overall being great friends with a trip to the book vending machine! Way to go, girls! And thank you to Ms. Cat for supporting them in sharing!

We know our Cougar community is anxiously awaiting a decision on whether or not schools will be open tomorrow (Wednesday, 9/11). Rest assured the District is closely monitoring the air quality and fire situations, and will notify everyone if schools will be closed.

Due to improving conditions and the current Air Quality Management District level of "Moderate", the Hesperia Unified School District plans to hold normal school hours tomorrow, Monday 9/9/24. Schools will modify events to limit outside activities. The District will announce if any further changes are required.
We had our first House event of the school year this morning and it was oh so much fun!! This is one of the many ways that we work together to build community, strengthen relationships, and show our leadership skills at Carmel!

In Miss Weedon’s class, our third grade Cougars learned about Geographic features. The students were assigned a landform to research with their group. Then they made posters and presented their landforms! We are so proud of them and all of their hard work!
