Due to the current weather conditions and the incoming storm, we are going to reschedule the African American Parent Advisory Committee (AAPAC) meeting on February 23rd to March 16th at 4:30 pm here at the District Office and via live stream. We have an amazing group of presenters scheduled to attend and provide information and resources around helping students become college and career-ready graduates. We can't wait to see you on March 16th!

With the incoming winter storms, this is a great time to remind our Cougar families of what will take place in the event of a school closure:
HUSD’s Maintenance & Operations team will assess the road conditions between 2:30am and 4:45am. If road conditions are unsafe, a robocall message will be sent to all families and the closure will be posted on both the Carmel and HUSD websites, Facebook, and Twitter pages. HUSD will also notify local radio stations. This should all take place by 5:30am.
Please keep an eye out for additional communication tomorrow and Friday. 🌧️❄️🌬️

Mrs. Riley and Mrs. Ward’s first graders have been showing EXTRA kindness over the last several weeks so Mrs. Adams and Dr. J surprised them with an ice cream sundae party yesterday. We had so much fun bringing extra smiles to these kiddos!

Kindness Week continues with Valentines and bracelets for Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Rojas’ 6th graders were super thoughtful and intentional with their creations for hospitalized kiddos!

Our Cougar Robotics teams did an amazing job at their final competition on Wednesday evening! They brought home TWO Judges Awards for outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and overall just being awesome humans. We are so incredibly proud of them!! Way to work those leadership skills, Cougars!!

Student Council will be selling Valentine Grams during lunch from Feb 1st until Feb 10th. The grams will be delivered to homeroom teachers on February 14th. Parents who are interested in purchasing any grams for their children can print and fill out this form and bring it with their money to the front office no later than Wednesday, February 8th.
