We've recently observed parents using AT&T services are encountering a busy signal when trying to reach our school sites or District office. This appears to be a specific issue affecting AT&T customers at the moment.
Rest assured, our IT staff has notified our provider to initiate contact with AT&T, seeking to resolve their issue at hand.
In the meantime, parents with AT&T mobile phones who need to reach district or school facilities are urged to call from a landline.
Thank you for your understanding.
VVC is hosting an 18 Day Hands-on Summer Construction Program. Students will earn college credits and their OSHA-10 industry certification.
Spaces are very limited but priority will be given to high school students enrolled in our CTE Construction Tech program.
Any interested students need to immediately email ANTHONY.BONATO@VVC.EDU that they are interested as a first step to be placed high on the priority list.
Only 30 spots are available and they are filling up fast.

Today's #SchoolSiteHighlight has us visiting Kingston Elementary and their dual language immersion class. This Kindergarten class is only for students whose parents requested placement. The DLI program is focused on teaching all core subjects in both languages to help build bilingual and biliterate students. Today's instruction was STEM, robotics and coding as the class programmed a bee robot through a maze and also did individual coding on code.org. Just another innovative program that we offer families that are interested in HUSD.
It was a momentous occasion at Maple Elementary as NASA JPL representatives visited the campus to inspire the Maple Mountain Lions to explore space and develop the technology that makes it possible. The presentation was tailored for third-grade explorers, intending to educate and spark interest in their young minds about the mysteries of space. Today's #SchoolSiteHighlight takes us to Cottonwood Elementary where we are highlighting their Friend's of Rachel Club. The club is led by Ms. McAnulty and is focused on creating leaders who spread positivity and kindness throughout the campus. In today's class they talked about choosing positive influences and the students were asked to highlight those in their lives that were positive influences. Themes are chosen by the students themselves and are reactionary to what they see needs focus around campus. So far they have held events like Unity Day and another event where they made a gift basket for pets at the local animal shelter. Ms. McAnulty is doing a great job teaching these students to be positive leaders at school and the impact on campus can be seen. Great job students!
