Hesperia Unified School District is excited to announce our annual iExpo event that will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Oak Hills High School. The iExpo event is open to all HUSD students grades K-12 with elementary challenges in art, coding, engineering, improvisation, speech and debate, and secondary challenges in art and culinary. All participating students will also complete an Instant Challenge that will go towards their overall score. This year students can also compete in robotics with the addition of racebots and battlebots for both elementary and secondary. Another event that will be taking place at iExpo is the iCan Film Festival. Students in elementary can create a commercial for an original product or service or a movie trailer for a fictional movie while secondary students can create a short film with some specific parameters. These student-made films will be shown at the iExpo event along with the announcement of the winners. Students that are interested in participating in any of these events can visit the iExpo website, https://sites.google.com/hesperiausd.org/iexpo2025/home.
The iExpo event will begin with check-in starting at 8:00 am with events beginning at 9:00 am. Once all participants have completed their challenges, staff will tally scores and then hand out awards to the winners. HUSD would like to thank Horace Mann for graciously donating prizes for the first-place winners.
